Xbox360 Warranty Extended

Microsoft have extended the warranty on Xbox 360's that protects from the "Red Rings of Death" problem experienced by too many 360 owners.

As of today, all Xbox 360 consoles are covered by an enhanced warranty program to address specifically the general hardware failures indicated by the three flashing red lights on the console. This applies to new and previously-sold consoles. While we will still have a general one year console warranty (two years in some countries), we are announcing today a three-year warranty that covers any console that displays a three flashing red lights error message. If a customer has an issue indicated by the three flashing red lights, Microsoft will repair the console free of charge—including shipping—for three years from the console’s purchase date.

TechEd 2007

So you might have seen or heard some of the buzz around lately about TechEd 2007. I went to TechEd last year in Sydney, and thought it was fantastic. Well this years event seems to be looking pretty good again, with content on some of the new products coming out like:

Windows Mobile 6
Windows Server 2008 (aka Longhorn)
PowerShell
Windows Vista
System Centre

The US TechEd event is happening right now, and if you want to keep up with whats happening there and get an insight into what is coming to the Gold Coast event next month, then you can check out the TechEd Bloggers Community, or you can check out Virtual TechEd, where you'll find plenty of webcasts, virtual labs, podcasts, and blogs.
